In February this year, China's producer price index (PPI) decreased by 1.6 percent compared to February 2012 and indicated a slight rise of 0.2 percent month on month, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Meanwhile, in February this year domestic industrial producers' purchase prices saw a decline of 1.9 percent compared with February 2012 and registered an increase of 0.2 percent on month-on-month basis. In February, among industrial producers' purchase prices, prices of ferrous metal saw a year-on-year decline of 5.3 percent and a month-on-month rise of 0.8 percent.

During the January-February period, China's average producer price index (CPI) decreased by 1.6 percent and domestic industrial producers' purchase prices declined by 1.9 percent, both year on year.

In addition, China's consumer price index (CPI) in February rose by 3.2 percent year on year and increased by 1.1 percent month on month.
