According to the statistics from Eurostat, Lithuania’s volume of goods trade was USD29.47 billion from January to July in 2016, down 4.6% year-on-year (the same below). Exports fell by 3.1% to USD13.99 billion, and imports fell by 5.9% to USD15.48 billion. The trade deficit fell by 26.1% to USD1.49 billion.

In July, Lithuania’s volume of goods trade fell by 10.0% to USD4.23 billion. Exports fell by 8.4% to USD2.02 billion and imports fell by 11.5% to USD2.21 billion. And the trade deficit fell by 33.9% to USD0.20 million.

Since January to July, bilateral trade volume between Lithuania and China grew by 0.1% to USD0.53 billion. Lithuania’s exports to China grew by 18.1% to USD0.08 million. It accounted for 0.6% of Lithuania’s overall export, up 0.1%. And Lithuania’s imports from China fell by 2.5% to USD0.45 billion. It accounted for 2.9% of Lithuania’s overall imports, up 0.1% over the previous year. Lithuania’s trade deficit with China fell by 5.9% to USD0.37 billion.

China was the 25th export market of Lithuania and its 12th largest source of imports up to July in 2016.
